Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in the Republic of KoreaThe Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in the Republic of Korea is pleased to announce the successful participation of Bangladesh at the K-Seafood Show 2026, held at COEX Hall, Seoul, from 19–21 May 2026, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
The participation marked another significant milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and the Republic of Korea in the fisheries and seafood sector. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chairperson of the Korea Fisheries Association, Mr. Young-Hoon Chung.
On February 2026, an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Korea Fisheries Association and the Bangladesh Marine Fisheries Association. The MoU was signed by KFA Chairperson Mr. Young-Hoon Chung and BMFA President Mr. Enam Chowdhury with the objective of enhancing cooperation and collaboration, trade relations, technological exchange, and investment opportunities in the marine fisheries sector between the two countries.
Following the invitation of the Korea Fisheries Association, a three-member delegation from Deep Sea Fishers Limited participated in the exhibition under the banner of the Bangladesh Marine Fisheries Association. The delegation included Mr. Akhtaruz Zaman Khan Kabir, Ms. Syeda Sumaiya, and Mr. Maruf Us Shaheed.
Deep Sea Fishers Limited participated in the exhibition with the objective of expanding its market presence in the Republic of Korea and exploring new opportunities for seafood exports, partnerships, and long-term business collaboration with Korean importers and industry stakeholders.
The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul extended its full support to the Bangladeshi participants throughout the event. His Excellency the Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Korea officially inaugurated the booth of Deep Sea Fishers Limited and provided all necessary support and encouragement to the delegation in promoting high-quality Bangladeshi seafood products to the Korean and international markets.
The participation of Bangladesh in K-Seafood Show 2026 reflects the country’s growing presence in the global seafood industry and highlights the strong potential for future collaboration between Bangladesh and Korea in fisheries, seafood processing, trade, and investment.
The Embassy expresses its appreciation to the Korea Fisheries Association, the organizers of K-Seafood Show 2026, and all stakeholders for their cooperation and hospitality in making the event successful.
